Bespoke Beauty on the Cove Primary Bath

Bespoke Beauty on the Cove Primary Bath

Project Scope: New Construction – Kitchen and 5 Bathrooms (including the Primary Bath)

Design Details:  Soft wood tones marry with high-sheen finishes in this contemporary primary bathroom. The geometry of the tub, cabinets, floor and ceiling work together to define, as well as compliment the serene space.

The Back Story:  When our longtime clients moved from Ridgewood, NJ, to their forever home on Long Island, we were entrusted with designing and installing the kitchen, den, office, three bathrooms, and two powder rooms in their 6,000 SF new build, in collaboration with Austin Patterson Disston Architects. Here, we highlight the Primary Bath.

Inspired by the beach palette and misty Long Island air, Julia blended soft brown, gray, and off-white tones with subtle textures for a serene feel. The cabinetry features durable high-pressure Oak laminate (vanity) and glossy white back-painted glass with aluminum frames (tall storage).

The geometric lines of the contemporary cabinetry, the clean white ceiling beams and herringbone-patterned floor tiles, create visual interest and complement the soft color palette in the space.

The flowing shape of the free-standing tub and the dramatic veining of the backsplash stone slabs create a beautiful flow and soften the feel of the room.

The recessed medicine cabinets and frameless mirrors disappear into the walls of the vanity space and reflect light to add to the open, airy feel.
